Book Review: Ocean’s Edge by Jay Micheal Night

Summary of Ocean’s Edge by Jay Micheal Night

As a Keeper of the Peace (KOP) for the mystical world of Alius, I know danger comes with the territory. I’ve also accepted that things hardly ever go according to plan.

So when the Synedrium, Alius’ government, sent my team and me to investigate a slew of kidnappings, it changed my life forever.

The night of the rescue, I met Nimera, a mermaid trapped in a tank, forced to entertain the worst kind of men. But I made a mistake and gunshots were fired. Nimera was suddenly dying in my arms so I did the only thing I could, making her like me; a vampire.

That is a big no-no in my world. Now the Synedrium has declared her my responsibility, which I knew would happen. What I didn’t expect was the strange, magical connection that formed between us when she turned. The stunning mermaid was suddenly in my head, inching her way into my heart.

Throw in the fact the kidnappings were part of a plot to end the world as we know it, and you’ve got a typical work week for my little supernatural crime-fighting team.

Review of Ocean’s Edge by Jay Micheal Night

Rating: 5 out of 5.

It has been a while since I read a Paranormal Book, let alone a Paranormal Romance but this book had me completely hooked. I want more in the series. It had just enough spicy scenes (although I wouldn’t mind more), a variety of paranormal creatures, magic, backstory and action. The descriptive used for setting, action and character building were so well done it really felt like I was there. An added plus was that the book ended with perfection to one love story and give enough for the next book. I highly recommend if you love Paranormal Romance. I also want to note that I did listen on Audible and the narration was *chef’s kiss.* I can not wait for the next book in the series.
